It’s a Girl!

Friday, May 29th, 2009

Frances Edelen was born early Thursday morning weighing in at 8lbs 3 and 1/2 oz. I always say that there is no such thing as a cute new-born, but she sure was. (LOL) Mom and baby are doing fine and dad has alot of work to do.

We will be bringing the bees in to N. New Mexico and S. Colorado next week. They currently have some Mesquite honey made that will hopefully be extracted by July 1st. I will up date the products page when I get this done.
The Taos farmers market has started. We will be there starting tommarow May30 and, unlike last year, I should have someone selling honey every Saturday at the Market.

Spring is Springing

Monday, May 11th, 2009

I have had a number of people ask if we are still in business, due to my lack maintenence on the web site. YES, we are still doing what we do. Our honey crop last year wasn’t the largest one ever, so I haven’t been real aggressive about marketing and advertising as we are barely going to have enough honey to supply all of you regulars. In addition to that my wife and I have had one of those crazy years. I spent a week in the hospital in Feburary after a tree jumped out and grabbed me while snowboarding, I healed just enough to tend to the bees this spring, our first child is due in a matter of days, and to top it all off my mother-in-law is ending her long battle with cancer. Don’t take this as a sob story…it’s just life. But I would like my friends and customers to know what is going on if it seems like we have not been getting the honey to your table on time.
On a much brighter note the bees are doing well. They are thriving and making some MESQUITE honey as I write this. We should have it extracted in June and on store shelves by July.
Thanks for your patronage, Brent
