The Latest on Our Bees

The past year or so has been a very turbulant time for the bee industry. Largly in part the phenomenon called CCD. We unfortunatly had our share of losses. I try to maintain around 600 colonies of bees. That may sound like alot but compared to most “commercial” beekeepers, it is a rather small number. Out of those 600 we lost about 300 during the winter of 2006-2007. In the spring of 2007 we gained a little, but the bees were still not real healthy. This winter I had just over 400 going into winter of which there were about 325 survivors. We are getting ready to go to California now to pollenate almonds. Please feel free to logon to this site with any questions.

ON the road with the bees,

Brent
